3DS Authentication Overview

Beam enforces 3DS authentication and CVV requirements by default to enhance transaction security and reduce fraud risk.

Your customer will be redirected to either

• Bank’s 3DS authentication page
• Beam-hosted authentication page (base URL: https://verify.beamcheckout.com )

Handling 3DS

As a merchant, you only need to redirect your customer to the 3DS authentication flow when prompted in the API response (actionRequired = REDIRECT). After the authentication is completed, your customer will be redirected to your provided returnUrl in the request body.
